What are the costs associated with obtaining my permit to carry?

The online course is $45.00 + tax , the live qualification starts at $50.00 and may vary depending on location. If range fees apply, you will be responsible to pay the range directly. Your instructor will provide a handgun and ammunition for additional cost of up to $30.00. To obtain your permit at the Sheriff’s office, it will vary. Cass County Minnesota renewals are $75.00 and new permits are $100.00. Contact the county Sheriff office where your residence is for details.

We do offer specialized group pricing for the live qualification shoot along with military, law enforcement and first responders.

Does this course and qualification cover renewals and new permits?

The online course and live qualification both are Minnesota approved to obtain your permit.

What if I fail my live qualification?

If you need assistance in preparing for your qualification, your instructor can help you prior to the qualification for $25.00 per half hour. (Does not include ammo or firearm rental)

If you fail your live qualification, you can re-test at the same time or another time at no charge. If you fail your second qualification and need a third attempt, you will be charged another fee of $50.00 and ammunition cost if applicable. We will highly recommend one on one instruction with practice at this time.

How long is my permit good for once I receive it?

Your permit will be good for 5 years.
